We are a non-profit that brings a transformative approach to equity, fairness, and belonging efforts by integrating emotional intelligence (EI) with personal and professional identity development to affect organizational and systems change.
We believe lasting change begins with equipping people with the tools to navigate challenges and foster genuine connections.
Too often, this work falls short of meaningful impact—EIDEIA fills this gap by focusing on emotional and cultural competencies that empower teams to create sustainable, inclusive environments where everyone thrives.

Our Name
​Eideia means idea in Mirandese, an endangered language in Miranda do Douro, Portugal. The people who speak this language remain at the margins of the dominant culture. They desire to bring, as bell hooks said, the “margin to center.”​ So do we.
As an Institute, we research and test ideas. We also hope to institute a new system of belonging for individuals and organizations.​
